Healthcare Assistants Wanted at Kungälv Hospital

The Hospitals in the West is an administration within the Västra Götaland Region and consists of four hospitals – Alingsås Hospital, Angered Local Hospital, Högsbo Local Hospital, and Kungälv Hospital. Approximately 3000 employees work with us every day to provide good and safe specialist healthcare of the highest quality.

We are part of the area of Geriatrics, Neurology, and Rehabilitation, and you can find us at Kungälv Hospital. Kungälv Hospital has completely new facilities.

In the department, patients are cared for in their own rooms, which are also equipped with the latest technology in the field. The department is equipped with an advanced patient call system that contributes to a quiet care environment. Here, we actively work to ensure that all employees from different professions are offered the best conditions to utilize each other's and the patients' resources and competencies.

We are now looking for healthcare assistants who want to work on an hourly basis and intend to work during the day, evening, and night by agreement. We offer you a varied and enjoyable job with good support from colleagues and management in the unit.

About Department 6

With us, we primarily care for patients who have suffered a stroke but also patients with other internal medical diagnoses. The department has 16 care places, and as a healthcare assistant with us, you will work with the acute phase of the stroke process together with nurses, doctors, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists in interdisciplinary teams.

About Department 5

We are a smaller geriatric orthopedic emergency care department (GOA) with 10 care places. With us, we care for individuals with hip fractures and other osteoporosis-related fractures. As a healthcare assistant, you will work with the entire team consisting of nurses, healthcare assistants, doctors, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists.

In the role of healthcare assistant, you will take personal responsibility, and it is therefore important that you are confident as a person and that you work from a person-centered and rehabilitative approach. You enjoy meeting people, are attentive and empathetic, and have a desire to collaborate to provide the best care and quality for our patients.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a trained healthcare assistant. Experience in stroke care, orthopedics, or elderly care is an advantage.

As of July 1, 2023, the title of healthcare assistant is a protected job title. This means that you will need proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title of healthcare assistant within care and nursing.
